When I looked at the score we were down 3-0. It wasn't until I got home from the SLU game that I saw what happened. Getting drilled, great comeback and then a deflating goal against at 18.50ish of the 3rd. The season in a nutshell.

Sometimes I let the pragmatic side of me get the best of me. This isn't a playoff team. There are about 30 games left and we are coming up to a break. Last year after a break the team went on a tear. I just don't see that with this bunch. It's just not right. Injuries, shaky goaltending, lack of production from those we expect to produce. I really feel that the best outcome for the long term is to endure 2.5 months more of this, hopefully get a pick in the 2-6 range, hopefully turn a couple of our assets into more picks and keep stocking the pipeline.
Yeah, unfortunately last night encapsulated the way this entire season has gone. Injuries to major players, a bunch of unlucky bounces, mistakes that normally wouldn't go against constantly finding their way into the back of our net, guys fighting hard but rarely getting any breaks, when we do get a break (like the puck going off the refs skates to help with the first goal) something like the Harley goal happens, and then the lack of focus in the last minute in every period and game.

The last minute of games and periods have been an issue for going on 5 seasons now. It has been a massive achilles heel for this team and at this point I don't know that it will change. Quite frankly if you are an opposing team and you are down a goal in the final minute of a game you have to be incredibly confident that you can tie it against the Blues.

What I really hate missing out on will be playoff hockey. I'll still watch it, but I hate the Blues not being in them. It does however make it easier to watch only having teams to root against.

Im not sure the blues would do it but theoretically if we ate 50% or even just 2mil of faulks contract this season and next how much would that bump his return?
