Yes indeed- But he won the ONE game that counted the most. These tournaments are results oriented, right??
Doesn't matter squat how average he was up to the last game. When it counted most he was there.
Didn't McDavid, Makar, MaCinnon, all rave about Binner after the last game??
I guess those guys have no credibility...
Look, I don't really care one way or another if Binnington plays every game or NO games for Team Canada. He is on the team because they want him on the team. This was NOT just Armstrong's decision
Can we agree on that?

This is the tank. He has to actively shop what we're selling. Nobody is lining up for what's left of Kyrou...
This isnt a tank. Not yet.
We've currently got the #3 pick and there's very strong talk of selling off vet's at the deadline.
Yes; we're in tank mode.
Im just saying its not a tank until kyrou, schenn, Faulk, binnington, etc are gone. Or some combination of at least 2.
They don’t need to trade everyone off to tank - they’re doing a pretty good job of it with their full roster!

Ive got to think that’s going to happen this season. There’s just no way army can still think this a quick transition back to being competitive anymore.

This friggin guy has a lot of faith in the stack of cacca he assembled - that's ballsy of him to say less than a year after claiming the re-whatever is over.
Did you think they could define what the re-whatever was? By the very nature of the name, it doesn’t sound like it was ever the plan.

It’s obvious their plans dramatically changed when they successfully offer-sheeted Broberg & Holloway. Sometimes, an opportunity appears too good to resist and you either seize it or you stick to the original plan. In this case, they seized it, recalculated, and found themselves as a Playoff Team.

In a way, this club finds itself in a similar place as the inconsistent 2009/10 Club, that followed up the youth surge captured by Andy Murray in the 2008/9 season. That 2008/9 club came out of nowhere, rallying around a number of young guys ascend to the club and Chris Mason stand on his head.

The big difference between the present club and the 2009/10 club was the fact the 09/10 club was 5-years into a 6-year rebuild. This one skipped a year. They’re technically 4-years into a 5-year rebuild.

That chapter between 2005/6-2010/11 witnessed two Top 5 Selections and 3 Selections in the Teens. This one had just one pick in the Top 10, three in the Teens, and 3 in the Twenties. That doesn’t factor in Broberg & Holloway, but it considers the championship cycle that traded both prospects (Ex: Bok, Thompson) and Draft Picks (2013, 2015, & 2019) to chase a Championship (2018/19).

As we saw, we couldn’t retain pieces of that Championship team (O’Reilly, Pietrangelo, Perron, Schwartz, Tarasenko) as their market value expanded beyond the limitations of the COVID induced Cap Freeze. So, the Championship Window closed after 2021/22, but didn’t truly bottom out. That might be what we’re witnessing this year.

If you look at the schedule I don't see another win until jan. 31st. Eleven game losing streak.
