Kyrou coasts around and does nothing with the elite speed and skill he has. Hopefully he watched MacKinnon and how intense Mac plays
How can he use his elite speed if he constantly has to wait for his linemates to catch up?
That’s a brutal take, Netboy. Do you ever watch MacKinnon? Guy blows through the neutral zone like a rocket, hits the offensive blue line, and doesn’t just circle around like he’s waiting for clearance to land. He goes, the forwards follow, and the D jumps in behind him. That’s how elite players drive offense — forwards follow, D jumps in, pressure stays on. This isn’t complicated stuff..

C’mon now — at least learn a little hockey before throwing that out there, for godsakes, eh.

I love to see Edmonton get him. They could use him for sure. Think of a line of McDavid, Draisaitl, and Kyrou. I would guess it would be the fastest line in NHL history.

Correct...DRIVE THE NET, and everybody right behind heading right to the net as well to clean it up a rebound and maintain that momentum to keep the forecheck press if opponent player happens to be nearest to it...maybe one hold back just a bit to anticipate a panic clear around to keep it in or do their best to disrupt opponent's ensuing rush. This is exactly how Holloway plays instinctively and Walker too. David Perron does too relentlessly, he is just slower, but still effective. Not everybody needs to be a speed demon and arrive at the same time...coming in waves is harder to defend. The pulling up, buttonhook practically all of the time just telegraphs.

I know this may sound callous but, I'm not happy with Kyrou and I don't really give F*** if Kyrou is happy. I can't believe we couldn't unload him before the no trade kicked in. It would have been addition through subtraction. That is all.

You should care if he’s happy. That’s a problem

If he put in the effort and was unhappy I might care, but I doubt it. I'm a fan he should work twice as hard to prove me and the coaching staff that he's got what it takes.

I have to ask the same question Why should we care if he is happy?

Because he’s more likely to reject offers/places.

A search of the internet has shown that there are some teams in need and looking for a right winger.

Of those teams, PHI has the cap space and assets to get a deal done, but Konecny, Tippett, and Foerster are all RH, so idk if they'd want Kyrou in that mix.

Detroit has plenty of cap space and assets, but they also have RH Raymond and Kane.

MIN seems to have enough cap space to get a deal done and has no RH in their top-6. Kyrou would fit right in. Inter-division trade, but that would not bother me. We'll take Stramel, Ritchie, and Lorenz.

MTL has no cap space but with Texier slotted in at #1RW, they might be flexible. Thinking they could move Laine's contract to even the cap, but what do we even want from them? Take back Reinbacher this time?

Boston - hard to see it working out with the cap.

So it’s just a coincidence then that his best recent stretch was when he was with Holloway who is at least close to matching his speed?
Part of it is coaching philosophy as well.

Nope.
Kyrou has played with players as fast.
Holloway shamed him into not being a blue whale sized wageena and to COMPETE. That was when Kyrou was good…. when he competed instead of playing not to get checked, or to ever throw a check, or even push past defenders with speed.
Kyrou plays for a paycheck and to never, ever, ever feel sore after a game.
Ya gotta start learning what is expected of of hockey players in games- especially playoff games.
You think it’s all one big all star fun fest.
