I’d rather us put our money into the O Line. The trenches are where success happens. Commit to building the best O Line in the country and we will be really good. Especially with our RB room. Plus, Zollers is very talented. I’m not ready to give up on him.

If the QB isn’t protected and given time to operate, you could have Mahomes back there and he wouldn’t be successful. If you don’t believe me, review the Chiefs’ season this year.

One possibly cheaper solution instead of chasing the next hot QB is to invest in tools and personnel to evaluate and develop your own.

First, that's what coaches are already paid to do. See that they do their jobs.

Second, the next great thing too often falls flat. Do any of you want Mateer to come aboard? How about Raiola? Maybe?

If we had Cook we would have been 10-2 in the regular season and in the CFP Hunt.
I wish I had a dollar for every time Cook was attacked on this forum after winning a game.
Cook was a solid QB despite what people say. He had short game accuracy, had a high football IQ, could run, and was tough as nails. The only room for criticism could have been his long game accuracy.
Mizzou has had Lock and Cook play QB as HS recruits.

Mizzou has had Bryant and Pribula play as transfers.

Now Mizzou has both options moving forward and has shown to make the best of it

Is this board on heavy drugs??

Zollers sucked donkey dikk. He is not remotely ready to start in the SEC.

We desperately need a top QB transfer. We came very close on landing Mendoza and Daniels in the past. Can we finally close the deal this time?

That's code for agents. These folks don't believe in confirmation with multiple sources.

That helps them hook gullible folk like Edwin

With a year of practice and warm-up games against Arkansas Pine Bluff, Kansas, and Troy before heading into SEC play, I think it's premature to make that statement.

Exactly, give a decent QB time & he'll cut you to pieces. Zollers has the arm. He played little his senior year & was thrown into the fire this year. Another year of spring ball & summer practice & a solid O-line is just the tonic.
Zoellers, Zoller, reminds me of Chase Daniels. Some guy named Chase Daniel did the color commentary on the Independence bowl today. Thought he did a good job. He said he had 11 yards in the Independence 20 years ago! I hadn't remembered that he had gotten into that game. Great comeback from 21 down (twice) to take down the Cocks & the Old Ball Coach! We were pretty depressed & some of our group suggested leaving before the turnaround. Very glad that didn't happen.

MizzouMarv, you must be getting dementia.
Chase D is the greatest MU QB of all time.
Zollers resembles some of worst Mizzou QB's of all time. Darius Outlaw. Shawn Robinson. Kelly Bryant.

Zoeller has a great arm and does have some mobility. What he lacks is field vision and accuracy. These will both come in time.

I do forget where my phone, keys, billfold, etc. are from time to time, but I didn't compare Zollers to Chase. I said Zollers had a good arm & that Chase was the "color man" for the Independence Bowl. Reading comprehension isn't hard. Just take one word at a time. You'll get it in time.

He was comparing the way the names are spelled, people used to goof Daniel with Daniels. I'd read carefully before you accuse people of having dementia

Did anyone else watch the Independence Bowl? What did you think of Daniel's work? (See what I did there?) With all the bowls they run out of announcers. I have never heard of some of these guys. Who was the Wilhausen (sp) who did the Gator? I've asked before; why all the screaming? Even Tom Hart (who I like) is screaming now. They shouldn't be monotone, but why all the forced excitement? It's fake & annoying to me. During the LSU/Houston game they interviewed Kiffen. During the interview a TD was scored & they didn't even stop the interview to say anything about the play. Later Hart was screaming about 5-yard gains so you could tell it was forced. The games are exciting or they're not. Screaming doesn't make a boring game any less boring.
