Article probably has a firewall. Phillip Hoffman is buying the Pittsburgh Penguins for $1.7 billion. Frustrated me that he didn’t spend a bit more for the Cardinals. Our owner is 84 and overly frugal. Probably the Taylor family of Enterprise Leasing would be the best option. They could write off any financial losses with the Cardinals and not have to make a ton off of the ballclub.
While they have beaucoup bucks, the Taylors/Enterprise invest a ton of money in civic causes around St. Louis (Botanical Gardens, the Zoo, etc.) in addition to their fun/sport causes (STL City, Blues). They're also huge United Way supporters.

One would think they would have to divest in several of those to go all-in on a venture like the St. Louis Cardinals, LLC. If I were them, I'd stick with my philanthropical strategy of giving a good amount of money to a bunch of legitimate, well-intended causes than pouring a bunch of money into one sports outfit. (And I love the Cards.)

Phillip Seymour Hoffman was an accomplished actor. Played Art Howe in Moneyball. Also Plutarch Heavensbee, Head Games Maker of the 75th Hunger Games.
Senior moment. Thanks for correcting

Right here...

Where are the Blues?
Right here.....

Be nice or we'll have your new owner move the team to Canada.
Lol. This isn't St Louis football or basketball and it's a Chicago based organization buying them.
Owner is from Washington, Mo about 40 miles from the Lou'
Chicago based. NHL wouldn't allow the sale with a move

If the local owner is loco but an ardent Blues fan he does this trade:

Crosby
Malkin
Rust
Letang
Artuo S (can't read my haNDWRITING)

For
Kyrou
Binnington
Buchnevich
Schenn

Blues actually open up cap space!!
