Kyrou isn't a slouch and is signed for 6 more years at a below market amount. Might have to add a mid prospect but not a first rounder.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:39 amKyrou plus a first round pick and a prospect....then they might think about it.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 08:24 am The only trade with Ottawa that makes sense is Brady for Kyrou.

Obviously I would love both those deals....My question is what is the actual cost in dollars?Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:42 am Schenn to Boston for Zadorov and a 3rd

Keep in mind that you have to factor in the overall bar tab that it took to get those GMs drunk enough to accept those deals.

Binnington to Edm for Nurse, Skinner, and a handshake agreement for McDavid to sign here after winning the Cup...

Below market value? No he’s not. He plays 15 minutes in big gamesTheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:50 amKyrou isn't a slouch and is signed for 6 more years at a below market amount. Re: Let hear your mock trade ideas
If you're Ottawa....why would you trade your team captain and overall team leader for a guy who is on a "fair" contract just to get additional years. You might not get KT for Kyrou and 2 1st rounders....TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:50 amKyrou isn't a slouch and is signed for 6 more years at a below market amount. If your Ottawa, and you truly wanted to trade him...don't you think they would get more from another team in the league than just Kyrou and a mid pick?
Re: Let hear your mock trade ideas
For sure, try and spark some kind of bidding war for him.Bacchk29 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 08:34 amOttawa is not trading Brady he’s their cornerstone. Let it die. Faulk will be top value at deadline of course you trade him.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 08:24 am The only trade with Ottawa that makes sense is Brady for Kyrou.
We aren't trading Faulk, we have absolutely no one to take his spot.
Brady is a nice player but I don’t understand the fascination with him. He’s no Matthew, that’s the guy you give the farm for.
Re: Let hear your mock trade ideas
The Schenn deal sounds reasonable. The Caps laugh as they’re hanging up the phone.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:51 amObviously I would love both those deals....My question is what is the actual cost in dollars?Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 09:42 am Schenn to Boston for Zadorov and a 3rd

Re: Let hear your mock trade ideas
We really don't have much to trade away.
Unless we are going full tear down. It's more important to get a top pick then big returns on guys.
Binnington has to be the first to go. As we go as far as goaltending takes us and they keep winning games for us. While a big game goalet is the one guy you should never trade. We have too.
Out of all of our guys. His value can swing the most.
If Army can sell Binny's ability to step up for the big games. The return should be pick and prospect. If he can't sell Binny. For stepping up in big games. He should publicly ask his only fans to be quiet.
The problem will come with the type of players we want in return and the always safe draft picks that may not score many goals. But can grind a fourth line.
The other problem comes when we go to play and coach cuts the minutes of those who can play in the offensive zone, for those who play in the defensive zone.
The historic genius ideal of a pair of offensive players to work corners and net front while our three defenders stay high so to throw up garbage to be swatted at by the five sticks or bounce off one of the ten arms or legs between the point and the goalie. Is not fetch.

Sure youd lose Faulk. Kessel and Mailloux can just play. Or if Yak is ready play him?

Re: Let hear your mock trade ideas
The good news about trading with Carolina is that they draft exceeding well, and they have a lot of great prospects as a result. The bad news is that Carolina knows what talent is, and isn't. The chances of Army actually getting anything of value in trade with them is very slight. It's akin to sending your 4th grade daughter to do a hockey trade with a GM. It won't end well.TheHighHat wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 10:19 am Carolina gets: B. Schenn & J. Faulk
