You are again an "Ad foe", you trouble-making jerk.
Chill. That took some effort. Way more than most of the responses you get.

I agree
Keep Donovan. Trade Arenado, Gorman and Pages
C) Herrera / Crooks
1B) Contreras / Burleson
2B) Wetherholt /Saggese / Donovan
SS) Winn / Saggese
3B) Donovan / Saggese
LF) Nootbaar
CF) Scott II
RF) Walker
That lineup will be above average and good defensively.
Just stack up the punching and the rebuild is over.
I hope they keep Donovan. But since he is probably their top trade chip Bloom may have to move him if the right deal emerges.
Ultimately I think Herrera winds up at DH or LF.
Too many Catching prospects and hopefully at least one emerges.
The OF needs help and who knows what happens with Noot?
I’m also inclined to move Gorman. He does have the raw power but that is his only “tool”.
I also don’t think he has it upstairs.
Walker is on the clock also. Although I hold more optimism for him than Gorman.

I'm so sick of this team all Bloom is doing is turning this team into another team like the Pirates! One that will have several losing seasons!

That lineup will be 29th in home runs again. Where is the power?

Maybe Bloom, first, wants to see what he can get for Contreras, Nootbaar, Romero, Arenado, some catcher depth and even Gorman. An infield of Donovan, Winn, Wetherholt and Burleson might just compete for a Division title in '26, already, if the others mentioned can bring back enough to fill some needs.
The more I think about. This might really be the way to go. Unless Bloom gets a deal for Donovan that he can't refuse. Let the FA market play out. Then see the best deals he can get, first, for Contreras, Nootbaar, Romero and Arenado, a catcher from depth, and if he has obtained another nice starting pitcher and a decent power hitting outfielder before trading Donovan. It might not be the worst thing in the world to hang on to Donovan. It should allow the Cardinals to be fairly competitive in '26. If the scenario I suggested plays out, he might even see what he can get for Gorman. Having Donovan and Saggese at 3B. Wetherholt and Saggese at 2B.

Do you have a better Cardinals' topic to discuss? If so, let's see you start one.

You should stop "thinking"--you're going to hurt yourself.

You are coming perilously close to a spot on his "ad foe" list. Trust me, it's not a place you want to be. I have (supposedly) been added at least a dozen times.

Thanks for your concern. But I'll make my own posting decisions. I plan to take full advantages of the "Add foe" feature to avoid the rubbish.
