Could have???

Given the choice between him or Luff, McGing, Kaskimaki...I go with Fabbri.

I’m totally fine with him using Fabbri just to fill a spot in the AHL while they rotate prospects in and out. But if he actually puts Fabbri in the NHL lineup… yeah, we’re basically locking in a top-5 pick at that point. Either way, this season is heading in that direction.

They want to make a hockey trade but haven't found a dance partner or are unwilling to deal the players being asked for.

So, bargain bin diving it is.

There isn't really much to lose at this point. May as well take a gamble. I'd have to believe he would be a better option than another McGing type of player being called up.....

I mean, I get that these are bandaid/desperation moves, but the Blues are not tanking. Maybe some here want them to. Maybe it is a good idea. But this franchise does not operate that way and, frankly, never has. Army is doing what he can to try and improve the roster. None of these moves carry any risk. I say fire away!

Kyrou is on IR, how many worthwhile guys do you think are out there in December?
In Springfield? A lot. Time to let them learn at the NHL level.

But the Blues aren’t tanking. If they were, sure I agree.

This makes sense with how many injuries we have now. It's amazing that they cut Tex just a couple of weeks ago and we've lost what, 5 forwards since then. He'll be able to fill in and maybe/maybe not go to Springfield once everyone is healthy.

Army is at it again... 8O

Bringing back washed up vets in an attempt to win a few more games instead of promoting prospects, letting the slide continue and securing a higher draft pick.

It's crazy. All this time there wasn't room for Texier. Now, he would've been nice to have. Ironic...I think.

At least Fabbri will shoot. Watching this team make 6 passes a night from the slot to a guy below the goal line is maddening. I hope he takes 10 shots/game.

What's worse...tanking while trying to get into the playoffs or tanking on purpose?

Who's next up....Jim Campbell?

You don't throw in the towel in mid December when you're two points out of a playoff spot. The Blues earned 12 points in their last 10 game segment. Each segment has been better than the last. Army is trying to fill in with these stopgap measures while guys are injured. People hoping to tank should know there is no way Army is doing that this early. If they lose a bunch more and get too far behind, he'll sell off like he did a couple years ago.
