I suspect when Bloom thinks we are ready to compete he will bring in a new manager. Marmol is a placeholder during the dump portion of the rebuild.
I'm not sure how true that is.
Look at a few of the recent hires. 33 y/o that are
"coaching" to the analytics.
I've always believed supervisors, coaches, should have a cache of doing it.

Younger analytic type managers seem to be trending.
Some won't like it, but Oli may be just what Bloom wants in a manager.
There's also a narrative that Oli has been kept on to save money which is hog wash. Oli's salary is a drop in the bucket.

Actually, I would be fine with Oli staying on as manager. I know everyone wants to blame the manager, but he doesn't hit nor pitch and I'd like to see what he could do with major league quality players.
Actually, I don't get why he's still around in a youth movement when he apparently did little or no nurturing of the youth they have already. Where was the improvement? And that goes for the hitting coach as well. Why is he still around?

Why do people copy and paste song lyrics on a baseball forum?
I’m guilty s charged, and stand corrected if it offends you. My bad.
It’s a quirky habit from youth. It falls under the - they can say it better than you category, or- what he said, kinda thing.
I feel when someone says it good enough why say it again. Again I apologize for the rub.
I’m not at all upset, just curious.
Thanx. I think it’s a left over residual, a manic effect of my now controlled bi-polar disease. As the doobie brother would write- what were once vices, are now habits. Thanx again.
"we show up at the ball park thinking we got a great chance to win, unlike last year when we would show up and stuff would just happen"
point being Oli managed a team the year prior and had them basically expecting to lose and not show up ready to play really hard and win. The manager gets paid to have top athletes perform at their sharpest edge, not just mail it in.
Cardinals need to hire a manager that will tell players losing is not satisfactory. Not the manager that owners said they did not want him to have an expectation to win so gave extension..
