To the Royals for two pitchers. Not enough return, IMO.This is the first time I've seen Walker mentioned in trade speculation this off season. Other than a ridiculous trade proposal I asked about a while back. Wonder if Walker does have some teams interested in acquiring him. Would it make any sense for the Cardinals in their rebuild?
you said a few months ago that a "Savvy GM" would get Bubba Chandler from the Pirates for Walker.
And now we got nothing of consequence on a throw in? Say it ain't so?? This in addition to the #2 Starter and Major League MOTB for Donovan. Mind Blowing...You have to be as vexed as we are.
Settle down, Chief ! Just some hot stove talk this time of the year.
Bloom hasn't solicited any trade advice from me. Has he from you?
you made several threads last month saying what you were going to tell Bloom about your plans for the offseason. We were led to believe he was taking your advice...This revelation is disturbing to say the least. Now I'm the one who is "vexed".
Mental health will drive you mad. Bang your head.

Royals are one of the worst trade partners for the Cardinals currently.

I'd take both Gamble and Hammond off their hands everyday of the week. Unfortunately....that's all they have. Good draft for them last year. They needed it. The Whitt MVP voting pick was a huge help. They'll need several more drafts like that to get another good farm system going....but those two are a start.

He is just like Santa, except Santa only needs to check his list twice. Santa Shady needs a minimum of 6 to check his list. Thanks for the free comedy Santa Shady! I would have paid more than$35 for the comedy club tonight, but I get yours' free.

Does this make you insipid? How about a trade with Detroit for McKinstry. We would have 2 "utility" sluggers on the same team. Do you think Donnie and Walker would be enough for Bloom to pull it off?

Providing us with a link to your source has always been the minimum qualifier for quoting an article around here.

I wouldn't want any pitching from KC other than Ragans.
I’d love to get Wacha, but not for Donovan.
I love Noah Cameron and Kris Bubic. 2 really really solid lefties.
They also picked up 2 pitchers from San Diego at the Deadline last who I love as well: Ryan Bergert and Stephen Kolek.

In 2025:
Cameron - 7.42 K/9, 2.80 BB/9, 1.17 HR/9, 4.18 FIP
Liberatore - 7.24 K/9, 2.37 BB/9, 1.13 HR/9, 4.03 FIP
And Cameron is actually 3 months older than Liberatore.
Are you trading Donovan for Matt Liberatore?
Bubic only has one year of team control left.

It depends in part on whether the other team really wants Donovan and Walker, but from a neutral, objective starting point BTV suggests:
Mets
Nolan McLean = +40.9
Cardinals
Donovan = +32.1
Walker = +5.4
MLB.com has McLean at #11 overall with a FV 60 grade. FG has McLean at #12 overall with a FV 55 grade.
Maybe the Cardinals even have to "overpay" a bit by adding Pages (+11.9) or Crooks (+11). Or maybe they get another throw in from the Mets in return Ryan Clifford, AAA OF prospect, +8.3), or Eli Serrano, an OF prospect further away.
McLean would be very much another "Liam Doyle-level" prospect that I'd be trying to get if I were the Cardinals - quality over quantity here.
