Many are all wet with the idea that Bloom is the end all to be all...
We shall see.

Agree. With our typical luck, he might just pull a Terry Pendleton and win a batting title and the MVP right after we trade him.zuck698 wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 13:23 pm I usually don't really care what team and city a player gets traded to, as long as we received the best return we could for said player. But this time, with Donnie, besides the return we get back, I am truly hoping he gets traded to a city that he likes playing in and the fans of that city, learn to love and respect all the unique qualities he brings to the game. He really does truly seem like a great person and hopefully will get dealt to a team that has winning as a top priority. I think sometimes, we don't know what we miss, until it is gone. He is one of the few current Cards, that I can say, that I will truly miss after he is gone. I always rooted just a bit harder, for a guy like Donnie, who leaves it all on the field, each and every play.
I would not bet against either one of those Carp! Can just see it now.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 13:25 pmAgree. That could happen carpCarp4Cy wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 13:08 pmUnless we trade him for someone already in the Majors but young, like Pages. Or maybe someone ready to promote now, like Jones or similar.rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 12:59 pm Other than duce' and others who really follow the minor leaguers the immediate reaction by most including me will be, "Who's that"?
Unlike Mo who I lost trust in many years ago, I trust C. Bloom and his staff to do their homework and land the player(s) they want.
But it will take a year (or two) for us to know if the trade pans out.
Fingers crossed it does since Donny is his best trade chip and should bring back the best return.
For Donovan I think you need to get the closest to a sure thing that's possible, even if it requires adding someone else. Not just a high upside/high risk lotto ticket that's 3 years away and maybe never.
The hype of the deal will actually hurt the perceptionscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 13:21 pm Many are all wet with the idea that Bloom is the end all to be all...
