I've been right here- almost everyday. I have heard people talk about rebuilding and how to do that. I haven't heard anyone talk about tanking. Different things. I'm on that side as well. A youth movement may be the most exciting baseball we've seen in a few years. Wouldn’t the efficacy of a payroll cap depend on what level it set at? 100% agree. I'd put it at the average of the #15 team and #16 team. Dodgers are #1 at $350 million. Marlins were #30 at $67 million. $15 was Seattle at $165 million. #16 was Baltimore at #158. Also isn’t there already a luxury tax for high spending teams? Isn’t that Tax supposed to come back to revenue sharing?
Well, back when they were "all in", they did happen to be lucky enough to have the best player of his generation, and the best catcher in MLB. Thats a pretty hood foundation to start with.
