"their are not many players that come close to hitting 300 anymore". That's one of the reasons, in addition to some power, that Burleson is such a valuable offensive commodity. Bloom needs to find a righty bat version of Burly, with a few seasons of team control, to trade for.
You just can't help yourself squeezing Burleson into any topic
This OP pertains to possible outfield targets for the Cardinals. And I described a good offensive measuring stick. Do you disagree?
Did you, though?

You failed to do any homework on Jo/Not "Joe"...other than he hit over 25 HR's last year.
Would you have any interest in the Cardinals acquiring a RH hitter comparable the Burleson?
no...I'd prefer a RH with Power, Avg and halfway decent in the field...able to play RF and LF and not flail around
How about getting a RH hitter capable of winning the Silver Slugger Award?

A RH capable of winning a real Silver Slugger award, sure. Utility Silver Slugger, meh.

Shady carries this award around like a badge of honor. It's like in high school. There was honor roll and then honorable mention. Guess where the Utility Silver Slugger fits in that analogy?

Not really. We have huge need for a middle order bat. Huge/ you can get Burleson on all day, it’s another to drive him in.

This bat also would take up a position- Third, left, catcher, even right.
All true. The Cards could use a lot of SLG and athleticism.
They may need a group effort on that unless someone falls from the sky.

Burleson had a good season among his peers.
Among qualified players his SLG/OPS would rank

1B #10/#10 ahead of WC
LF #6/#5 Lars was #16
RF #5/#6 right behind Tatis
3B #6/#5 near Machado #
C #5/#4 ahead of Kirk
2B #4/#3 ahead of Donvan at #5

Only 18 qualified players SLG over .500 in 2025. They will be hard to get.

I am particularly impressed with Burly's .290 BA combined with the SLG. And I feel Burleson will get even better. 25 HRs, 80 RBIs would be outstanding for him.

He is close, but he almost has to be a 25 and more guy
especially if his limited abilities are placed in the OF.
Those limited abilities hit again on the base paths.

Until you do it, you are not one,...
