I did a little research on Manoah:

He had TJ Hybrid surgery in June 24.
In the hybrid procedure, a collagen-coated fiber tape is added to the joint space.

This internal brace provides immediate stability to the elbow,
reducing stress on the new ligament graft while it heals.

It was a much quicker recovery than TJ alone.
He pitched again for Toronto in the minors July 14, 2025 - Sept 18, 2025
September 23, 2025 - Toronto decided to DFA him.
Braves claimed him Sept 26th - he elected for free agency Nov 21, 2025

I watched some video of him after TJ and he looked ok.
Saw an interview of him discussing his up and down progress.

Guess the Cards did or are doing their own assessment.
He was born Jan. 1998. He will be 28 in Jan.

That doesn’t bother me if he can help us in 2026.

Amgels got him

The Angels announced they have signed right-hander Alek Manoah to a major league deal. Jeff Passan of ESPN previously reported the agreement and that Manoah will make $1.95MM next year. The Halos had multiple 40-man vacancies and didn’t need to make a corresponding move for the Covenant Sports Group client.

How about we sign a real MLB starting pitcher or two. We only have one on the roster, and a $35 million payroll.
