Unfortunately, unless they’re able and willing to trade some of that pitching or catching depth, and I mean a Doyle or Rodriquez, you’re not going to get any plug and play OFers who are, or will be, better than they’ve got.Jatalk wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 08:39 amI think outfield is our weakest depth position. That is why I am hoping and anxious for some added talent in that area. We need some plug and play with MLB ready players at that position. Not necessarily to produce a 2026 competitive team but for development at the MLB level.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑25 Nov 2025 18:35 pmWhere is the other Baez? if this was posted earlier during all the mayhem, then I apologize for the redundancy
Hjerpe was a high floor low ceiling pick who relied on a deceptive motion and movement to get his swing and miss, where as Clarke is a power fastball/slider pitcher. He sounds a like lot Doyle. There are a lot people who see Doyle as more of a closer than a ToR starter.
It will be hard to have Doyle, Hence, and Clarke all close.Red7 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 13:38 pmHjerpe was a high floor low ceiling pick who relied on a deceptive motion and movement to get his swing and miss, where as Clarke is a power fastball/slider pitcher.
