Looking at all of our lefty options, to me it looks like Clarke would be a logical back of the bullpen option. I’m sure they will want to see if he can be a “ lights out starter” but they also need lefty relievers, and with his health issues, the bullpen might be his best fit!
And that should be ok. Doyle, Mathews, Mautz, Henderson, Liberatore, and Hansen could all be #4 or better starters, but there aren’t a lot of lefty bullpen options in the minors.

The great thing about sports is the games get played and we find out how good the prospects are. Tink Hence at one time was ranked #3.

It looks like Clarke may be a second chance at what we thought Hjerpe had the potential to be. Even if a back-end reliever, he has the potential to be dominant.

if this was posted earlier during all the mayhem, then I apologize for the redundancy
Where is the other Baez? I thought we had some serious OF help on the horizon?
I think outfield is our weakest depth position. That is why I am hoping and anxious for some added talent in that area. We need some plug and play with MLB ready players at that position. Not necessarily to produce a 2026 competitive team but for development at the MLB level.
Unfortunately, unless they’re able and willing to trade some of that pitching or catching depth, and I mean a Doyle or Rodriquez, you’re not going to get any plug and play OFers who are, or will be, better than they’ve got.

Hjerpe was a high floor low ceiling pick who relied on a deceptive motion and movement to get his swing and miss, where as Clarke is a power fastball/slider pitcher. He sounds a like lot Doyle. There are a lot people who see Doyle as more of a closer than a ToR starter.

It will be hard to have Doyle, Hence, and Clarke all close.

Perfect young pitcher for the future of our team. Heard the kid is stoked when he found out that they named the street between Ballpark Village and Busch Stadium .. Clark Ave. ( usually referred to as Clark St. )

you and I know there is no letter 'e' at the end of the word on street sign but we have time to add a duct tape 'e' on t when he is called up
Go Brandon Clarke
Who needs a statue ? He has a street bordering the ballpark named after him
