The podcast stated that Nashville would give him away for a song just to get him off the payroll. They stated even if he's not the player he was in Tampa that he still has a great shot and could help out on the power play. He would have two more years after this year on his contract.
It feels like Nashville would have to retain a bit then I’d be open to it. He’s been struggling again this year but I’d suggest looking at his game tying goal last night at MINN with less than a second left.
An absolute missile of a shot! The Blues could really use that on the PP….Can’t rely on a guy with 4-5 games of NHL experience and another rookie who hasn’t figured out how to use his 1 timer yet at this level.

To those who want Buch gone understand the following
FULL NO TRADE CLAUSE
HE ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE
This is in no way a guarantee IF Army could find a taker several of these guys may want to leave not too many guys want to spend their prime on a bad team if they think thats the way this is going to go

Why? They all know even if this year doesn't go as planned the future is incredibly bright. There's way too much talent on this team currently and in the pipeline for it to be playing the way it is.
I doubt any of them would request or even really accept a trade

1 - that's a disgusting stipulation on his contract
2 - Armstrong will just put him in the minors until he agrees to waive it
He's not going to be sent, nor would he likely accept the assignment in the minors.
That's the minimum price of doing business to not having a guy go to UFA.
If they want a player gone they will find a way, they simply wont play him they will cut minutes, bunch of ways to make a deal i wouldnt worry too much about it

I'm not worried about anything. That isn't Dougs M.O. nor has it been the Blues.
If it was they would have done it to Krug and they didn't.

1 - Completely agree
2 - Youve been around here long enough to see how much Army and Monty transparently love and adore Buch. Unfortunately he’s not going anywhere and Monty’s actions and amount of icetime tells us he sees Buch as more of the solution than a problem, which is mind boggling.

If the rumor started with Friedman, I wouldn’t give it a second thought. He doesn’t really report rumors anymore, he merely speculates on garbage.
True, but that's kind of the reason it should come with a lot of credence. Since he doesn't rumor monger anymore, when he reports something that should mean it has a lot of legitimacy behind it.
Quite frankly I can see this being something that gets done, especially if it will be a giveaway for both teams. Thomas needs someone who will just shoot the freaking puck when they enter the zone. I thought for sure it would be Snuggerud, but he seems to be more content to pass it, just like Kyrou and Buch have become.
Those 3 combined should get you 9-12 shot a game on average. Are they even averaging 6 between the 3 of them?
