I'm not sure what can be made of an "era" that has yet to begin, but whine away.

Bloom is going to give away every half star the Cardinals have.
Winn might be gone. Donovan is gone. Noot is gone. Herara is gone. Burleson is gone.
Bloom was brought in to lower payroll. This isn't a rebuild, it's the DeWitts selling or just raping us fans.
Give up on the Bloom thing. He proved he was a patsy by keeping Marmol.
Sad times fans! We are in for hurt!

Bloom might end up being awful and not being able to turn the franchise around but mo definitely wasn’t able to turn the organization around after slowly destroying it over the years. Bloom already has points in my book because he’s bringing in a lot of people from other good organizations instead of doing the mo create an echo chamber of yes men around yourself from within the organization approachChip Matthews wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 23:41 pm Stop drinking the kool-aid. How is Dewitt raping the fans?

I do have concerns on the direction of the team but keeping Marmol wasn’t one of the concerns.
2026 is going to be another throw away season. There was little reason to fire Marmol and bring in another manager. You are not getting a top level manager to take this job.
Why pay two managers to still be bad. I am not advocating extending him. Let Bloom hire his guy at the end of the contract when more of the core is in place.
The organization is already working to address flaws in their player development process. Time will tell if it works, but for now it’s too early to trash the changes.
I do have concerns DeWitt will bank the Cardinals future on a salary cap. I think he will lose that bet.
I just went through 14 years of Mo failures. I want to see what else changes before passing judgement on Bloom.
The NHL had two separate issues of teams circumventing their cap. They closed both loopholes. It’s not difficult to make sure deferred money doesn’t circumvent it. There is zero reason to stop players from deferring money.renostl wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 18:42 pmMaybe that is their reasons.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 18:14 pmI have been one of the front offices longest standing critics. IMO, pay 2 managers IF the current one and yourself are not on the same page, perhaps
they are. The other reason might be to assist in the perception of change. The money need
not go fully wasted if Oli was reassigned inside the organization. Top level is subjective, get a
person that you can work with that has leadership qualities, information is spoon fed anyway
and most these guys have been around the game since grade school.
The salary cap issues could be a non-issue. This group of owners find ways to circumvent the CBA
with deferred money, contract language, etc. What makes those same people think a cap would be adhered
to? IF it is an issue have teams follow the rules that have already passed.
It would sting them if followed.
