Have some of you been paying attention to what the plan is for 2026? It’s so far being discussed as a rebuild year. Unless that changes, why would you expect him to be fired based solely on their record? I don’t think that they’re that concerned about their record next year. Maybe if the team just nosedives and he loses the team, but what does that look like? 100 losses? They haven’t lost 100 games in over a century, and all reports say that the players really like Oli, so what’s the motivation to fire him early?

Oli won’t be fired it’s business as usual for the cardinals bring back the same manager and coaching staff bring back the same runway players who failed in Gorman and walker so they can fail again they may trade arenado so they can make sure Gorman will be able to suck for another season but no doesn’t look like much will change

If 2026 is the rebuild year, what was last year?

Bloom took over this offseason he’s bringing back oli and the same coaching staff other than adding a couple of assistant coaching staff so yea business as usual bringing back the same “runway” players as last season so they can now suck in the “Rebuild” season

Also a rebuild year. Rebuilds aren’t a one season thing

"we are not where we want to be. We are not where we need to be. We are not where our fans expect us to be and we are not where we expect ourselves to be. Our goal is to field a team every year that can compete for this division and a World Series championship" .

So right out of the gate your first move is to keep Marmot?

I can’t see it being all that long if they go sideways fast. If they can remain 500 ish I think he’s golden.

Off the rails early gone

Imho
He’s not going to be expected to win.

I think he manages the duration

Last year was a runway year where they see which players suck and which players are good this season it’s a rebuild year where they rebuild around the players who sucked last
Season and will suck again this season

I think Bloom said something to the effect that it would be a difficult year. The fact that he just reassigned some of the people Mozeliak had put in place tells me he isn't entirely sure Marmol is the problem.

Is this a joke?

It could not be clearer that this club has zero expectations of Marmol. All the excuses that have been deployed by the FO and the State Media from 2023-2025 will be even more applicable in 2026--The Official Budweiser No Kidding, For Realsies, We Mean It This Time* Rebuild Year.

*or do we? *winkie face*
