So hard to tell anything from these types of games, pretty sloppy first half.

16 point lead at the half. Got sloppy the last 5 minutes or so. Still scored 42. Offense will be a plus again this year.

I’m glad we went on the road for the 1st game. It’s a very good mid major team so took a chance on an upset, but it’s a game we should win while having to work for it. And experience a packed away gym, even though it’s not Rupp Arena it’ll help.

The Tigers have yet to recognize that they're a very BIG team. Porter, at 6'11" doesn't need to be shooting (and missing) 3's.

A bit sloppy with the ball. Fine against these nobodies.
I don’t know Howard is a potential tourney team and we’re in their gym short 2 key players. We should win but not the same as a bad team at Mizzou Arena.

Most every Porter is a finesse player who loves to shoot the 3. He’s no different. Agree he’d help us a lot more if he’d use his height inside, but he’s pretty soft.

First game but didnt see them run like they did in the past. Ran more of an offensive set with ball screens. Saw the trap as we did in Gates first and second year. So far not a well oiled machine, but that takes time. Porter doesnt seem like he has a killer heart...nor does Norfleet. Both seem mid-majorish.

Also, Stone looks to be more of a catch and shoot guy, though he muffed one pass out of bounds. He put it on the deck once and it was instantly gone.

Dont no if youve seen Porter Jr with his new team....seems Denver had a very specific role for him in Denver. Now with Brooklyn he's still popping 3's but he's more freedom and playing down low and banging a bit. Seems to have put on muscle as well.

Norfleet is a TE on the football team. But yeah, Northweather looks soft.

Stone reminds me of one of those dudes who if you pass the ball to him you ain't getting it back. 😄

Not impressed with Mack at all, though he seems mighty impressed with himself, forcing things.

And I've never understood weak D on the perimeter against blood donors like Howard. They are killing it from 3.

This is a totally different offense than Gates previous offenses!

TO Barrett plays just like his hair..like he's on fire.

Like how he plays.

Just needs minutes.

Another stupid TO. Actually making a game out of this now. Lead down to 10. Hero ball by T.O. Another TO. That's 2 by him in 30 seconds.
