What is winning in the playoffs? Home runs, period. The league always copies what wins in the playoffs.
We will be stuck with a future of .230 hitters swinging for the fences every at bat.

Not what I was hoping for.

What's wrong with what you've seen in these playoffs? WS?

Last night didn't do anything for you?

Seems like a you problem

The brewers had a chance to show that that style wins in the post season and failed so yea losing formulas are not going to have people drooling. It’s hard to string a bunch of hits together in the post season because of the great
Pitching so you need the power
It's why they aren't giving up on Walker and Gorman.

I believe your issue is with the homogenous nature of the game. The majors just finished its 16th consecutive season with an average OBA less than .330 with nine of those seasons recording a sub-.320 OBA. It was .315 in 2025. In 2009, the majors concluded a run of 17 straight seasons with an average OBA of .330 or better. Stadiums and playing surfaces all now cater to one solution to adapt to the entrenched lack of base runners - home runs.

Feel better after the Blue Jays just dismantled the Dodgers?
Hope restored.
Yeah, I respect and admire Ohtani, but the broadcast was over the top about his pitching tonight -- and nonstop stories about his personal life. Enough already. He lost and went 0-3 with 2 Ks.

And the Jays scored 4 runs with small ball. WS all square. Best 2 of 3.
This ain’t no [shirt]. The Ohtani love fest. That Davis guy. Must think he’s an orator.

I’ve been saying it for years. St. Louis needs more power bats. We fallen into the very back of the pack.
Or reinvent the game like Whitney did...defense, contact hitting, and speed...and pitching, it starts with pitching.

Pitchers are just too good today. Teams have to hope for the 2 run homer because its so difficult to string 4-5 hits in an inning.

I can remember when Nolan Ryan was the only 100 mph pitcher. Then came Randy Johnson.

In today's game pitchers are throwing 98 mph breaking balls the game is going through another evolution. Its a pitchers game again, and for hitters, there's a lot of big money for hrs.
