No one is looking to criticize you....stop being a "professional victim"

You REFUSE to accept what the Front Office has said over and over again...."this coming season will be a rebuild year."

If you refuse to accept it and make the ridiculous threads like this, you'll get fair criticism.
You offer nothing but rebuttal. Weak. weak weak.
deflection.... get better at this.

:D
What's your realistic proposal for improving the Cardinals in '26. Let's see it.
We’re still waiting for yours (emphasis on the word “realistic”).

What part of Bloom’s press conference did you not understand (other than all of it)? Get it through your thick head: 2026 is a transitional year for the franchise.

Cards aren't close to winning anything so this isn't the move you make for a rebuilding club.

Harper is hitting the decline phase of his career. You want the Cards to trade their top prospect who's floor is most likely solid MLB 2B for a guy signed through his age 38 season making $25 mil per year?

These are the type of trades that would set us back another 4-5 years.

Dumb.

No need to spend that kind of money now with a team years away from competing.

Also he has a no trade clause and I would think he'd want to go with a team serious about winning.
If Bloom could land a couple quality starting pitchers by trade or FA. The Cardinals, with a Harper in the lineup, could be very competitive to win the division in '26.
Those pitchers would cost as much or more than Harper.

And who's going to protect Harper in the lineup?

That's just the tip of the ice berg. Plus he's not an OF'er anymore so that glaring problem would still be there.

I could go on but I haven't got all day.

But according to Shady’s “realistic” plan, the Cardinals should be competitive right away after they trade Jordan Walker for Bubba Chandler and Phil Maton for Trey Yesavage.

I really want another Stubby Clapp for Manager OP...we only got 3 last year, down from the 5 that Shady usually averages a season.

8)

Though, I did see him mention Stubby along with Jim Edmonds the other day.

I agree Wetherholt's future seems bright. Many others have, too. Ex. Carlson, Gorman. Walker, etc. Harper is an elite, proven All Star talent.

Problem here. Too many don't offer any viable solutions. But they love to take the cheap shot route of criticizing someone that tries to.

No but if the trade did happen Harper would set the record for intentional walks.
