The Cardinals. He is the only starter on the roster that has pitched a complete season.

I can't answer the question but another question is how much of Gray's salary will we have to pay? If we get a #3 starter with a couple years left on his contract and only have to pay half of Gray's salary it's a win.

He played for the A's and from what I've read the family liked the Bay Area so would they relocate for a year?

I think people are making too much of the location thing. He's played for the Twins, Yankees, As and Reds. I'm sure it's a big consideration but I don't think it will be as important as some think. I'd bet he'd jump at a chance with the Dodger, Phillies, or other top team. So I'll throw out a wild card, Astros. Valdez is a freeagent, so they may need to replace him. Even with Valdez, they need another good starter.
Houston is an interesting suggestion. I could see that.
