Well put. Nice lessons. They may get swept.
I hope so

What have we seen that resembles success. What are some intangibles we don’t possess.

Milwaukee- power hitting lead off man, usually take long at bats, run well. Pitch good.

Dodgers- steady. Controls the narrative. Good pitching.

Thought- the Dodgers pen is susceptible. The Brewers getting into that pen is paramount. So far, the Dodger starters have gone 17/18 innings played. That’s huge.
What we've learned is never pull your SP when they are dominating.

Good pitching for the Dodgers? It's stupendous pitching. The 2 starters only allowed 4 hits and 1 run in 17 innings.

The Brewers are overmatched.

That's something we already knew.

I think I finally found another poster who actually wants the Brewers to lose! I respect what they’ve done with their payroll, but still don’t like them and hope they get swept too.

I also don’t want to hear the BDW money-savers club constantly cite the Brewers model as an excuse to never sign anyone to improve our team.

I hate the brewers more than the Scrubs!

In the LCS we have learned that home team advantage means nothing. Home teams are 0-5

1. Make the playoffs even if you squeak in.
2. Get hot. This is not a skill but good teams are hot more often so they have a better chance to be hot at the right time.
3. Win a championship.

This doesn't mean the highest payroll teams can't win. They can get hot and win it all, but so can the lower payroll teams.

13 of the 15 highest payroll teams are out already. Another is down 2-1.

These same Dodgers made the playoffs the previous 12 seasons and went 64-55 winning 54% of their games.

This year they are hot (7-1) so far. They may win it; they may not.

Good write. 12 seasons is a lot. Much fan excitement.

Does the Blue Jays power performance change any minds. 5 homeruns. Several doubles.

True, but the Brewers are far from a premium hitting team. The Brewers are a team who will put the ball in play, and run the bases well, but the bats are not like LA.

Haven’t read any responses, but but just as I thought, the Cardinals aren’t anywhere close to the quality of these teams.

Those that think the Cardinals are 2 or 3 players away from contention are delusional.

They are still far ahead of the Cardinals.

I had this bumper sticker that read- “I may be slow; but I’m ahead of you.” That may apply here.

They are a top 5 run scoring team. So is the Dodgers.
