I didn’t watch his latest game but of what I’ve seen, he’s making big impacts for Brantford all over the ice. He’s their #1 all situations d-man. He’s been looking a lot better overall this season compared to last.
Your prospect watching comrade doesn't seem to agree with you:

seatlleblue: "We've talked before about Jiricek, who is just finished spazzing his way through a 1st period against the Ottawa 67s. He got out of position a few times in the o zone and was hit and miss defensively. just got in a huge slash fight in front of the net while the other team scored. Jay McKee, he of the flowery Jiricek quote from many months ago, is not giving him top minutes despite him being 19yo in his D+2 in a league of 16-20 olds.

My point on both players is there is a long road to go and there is more legit doubt than hope with both players, despite the existence of hope."

I watched only part of it but Lindstein was better and more assertive than I was expecting. He was good. Had an assist and finished +2. +2 in his first N.A. pro game (outside of preseason and prospect showcase anyway) in a game they lose is pretty darn good.

Stenberg was fine. He was good but I’ve seen him be better. Overall, neither team really had a ton of standouts. Charlotte is a good veteran team that seemed to clog up the game well.
3-0 early but i wasnt paying that much attention was Zherenko bad, it was a bad match up for a bunch of kids.

Jiricek 5GP 5 1 2 3 2 +5 on another note. I havent taken any time to watch Brantford it kinda doesnt matter to me Jiricek is either going to the A or the Blues next year but his numbers are worth watching. 3 pts in 5 is ok but he needs to be a top point producer there
I thought Zherenko was fine but Charlotte definitely seemed to control play. I saw more the 2nd half of the game though so maybe Zherenko was bad the first half, idk.

I’m starting to come to the conclusion that Jiricek just might not be much of a point producer. I didn’t watch his latest game but of what I’ve seen, he’s making big impacts for Brantford all over the ice. He’s their #1 all situations d-man. In his latest game he had an iffy start and came on strong but I would not describe him as their #1 all situations dman by what I have seen. McKee has the pairings in a blender a bit he had Plotz and Moore together a lot but also Jiricek with Moore some too. Not much PK. Laid a big hit made a sweet outlet pass. His assist he picked up was tangential second assist terrirory.

edit: as to me being quoted above ... I followed that up in the same thread with a more detailed description of his much better second half in that game, but it didn't make the cut in terms of what I think about Jiricek's most recent game, looks like.
