Have to preserve that special history
Interesting correlation between mentions of the power play dance and your user name.

For someone not fuming about it, you sure talk about it a lot.

When the Blues Go Marching In, on a real organ, with the siren at the end just like God intended. Nothing more, nothing less.

Amen. And then follow it with just a quick stanza of "Here Comes The King" as they are getting ready to drop the puck at center ice, finished off with the whistle noise. Some things never go out of style.

I'd just like to hear the damned goal horn, for starters.

People born after 1970 have a different definition of "style". What you describe is a special brand of hell. I understand that to the OG's these are things as "They're supposed to be". My oldest was born just before the "Clown Jersey" was released, and that was 30 years ago. There are 2-3 generations of fans that the organ is hokey as hell. I'm good with it being the intro, but wouldn't shed a tear if they got rid of it. With Stillman, you know they won't.

Yes to “The Blues Go Marching In”

NO to the “Here Comes the King”. Hated that hokey song and Ernie Hays played it incessantly.

BTW, I’m 71, and the first to admit that not everything from my younger days was superior.

Either this or something badazz — 90s or newer.

No A.I.
No AC/DC or classic rock.
No generic/cornball butt rock like previous goal song.

Thank you for your attention on this matter!!

Keep it simple — but powerful — with the organ (maybe add some big fuzz to it) or go mainstream pop metal.

Start at 2:47 and strip the vocals:
