I've been complaining for years about how it's not the same with all the alternative and hip-hop music as it used to be with a whole lot of Vam Halen. Leave that other stuff for football.
MRK, you took the words out of my mouth. Hard core rock'n'roll needs to return. Ozzie, Metallica, AC-DC, Led Zepplin, Rush and many more... anything but Lit and that obnoxious noise they call rap.
Although I like every one of those bands, I have far more interest in hard rock and progressive rock of the past 20 years.
I get the Ozzy blues t-shirt thing, but War Pigs? Good grief.
Examples please. Just asking out of curiosity.
Bands?
In no order:
Alter Bridge
Shinedown
Red Sun Rising
Dead Poet Society
Audioslave
Sleep Token
Nothing More
Architects
Avenged Sevenfold
Seether
A Perfect Circle
Sabaton

Some of those I am not familiar with but Shinedown, Audioslave, Avenged Sevenfold and Seether are good choices for sure.

I love these videos. My girlfriend and I went to the Saturday night game last April against the Avs when they broke the home game winning streak, and seeing the hype video live in a packed arena was an awesome experience. We traveled to STL from out of town and that moment alone was worth the price of admission.
"Once the song was locked in, the Blues teamed up with Cincinnati-based 4th Floor Creative to bring it to life visually. The result: a massive 20-foot wall of real vintage speakers and a sweaty garage scene that could’ve been lifted straight out of a 1970s music video.
“We actually had a crew buying speakers off Facebook Marketplace,” Nickerson laughed. “They built the whole set piece by piece, and it looks unbelievable.”
The band featured on screen — St. Louis’ own Raised on Radio, a group of local high schoolers — brought the vibe to life, performing inside a hazy, sweltering garage on one of the hottest days of the summer.
“We closed the door to trap the haze and control the light,” Nickerson said. “It was about 95 degrees. Everyone was dripping sweat, but it worked. It looks raw, it looks real — it feels like rock and roll.”"
