And yet the Cubs fans are insufferable.

Just don't know which one I hate more.
I would rather any team in baseball win instead of the cubs
Hear, hear....!

(though for me the LAD are a close 2nd)

Hey managers make no difference in games according to some on cards talk it’s all on the players
I’d say it’s 95% players and 5% manager, once the team is set by the rest of the organization.
I’d love to see any data that indicates otherwise.

Probably even less than that. For example: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/mo ... ediocrity/

Brewers fans when Counsell May have gone to Mets.
Former brewer POBO Stearns was there but when Cubs shockingly snared him for $8m per year, Brewer fans turned on him as traitor.
Counsel resides in Whitefish Bay

Yes, I was generous with the 5%. Remember Whitey's last few years? 14 games under .500. Was he suddenly a poor manager?

That was a good trade for both teams. Cubs got a AAA guy who was aging and blocked at 3B and moved him to 1B, and he produced. The Dodgers got Zyhir Hope and Jackson Ferris who are young and show promise.
