Tell me men, where is that right handed bat at. What pool does he exist in. And then how you gonna get him. We don’t have enough to trade and won’t out bid on FA.
We have fallen from an elite level that requires superstars to fix. We won’t never get them. Too much traffic.
The next best method is to load up on .280 hitters who can hit 20 and drive in 80.
Put four of those guys and the runs will come. Then the wins.

Ryan O’Hearn is a nice player and would certainly be a good addition to the lineup.
The only issue I would have with him specifically is that he hits LH.
And currently we are overloaded with LH bats.
I’m thinking some of the lefties will be traded.
That is very possible!
I suppose if you move on from a couple(for pitching?) then he will be a better fit.
But all the bats in AAA are also Lefties so any outside addition need to be RH
Agree
I’m hoping a team looking for a LH OF might flip us a RH OF for Nootbaar?
I’m hoping Josh Baez continues to develop.
He’s RH OF who’s had a very nice season. I’ve never seen him play but others on here have and he sounds promising.
RH. Has some pop. Decent speed so I’m told. Probably best for Corner but has played some CF. Later 2026 call up??
Fingers crossed!

What do you expect him to hit- can he match .280-20 hr-80 ish RBI. We need four of these guys cause we ain’t getting the cream of the crop in the league. Then add two table setters, that’s 6/9 positions covered by hitters.

Like I said I’ve never seen him play. Those numbers equate to what he has done this season but of course AA.
Does he start 2026 at AAA? Best guess.
From what I have read he was a 2nd round pick and it sounds like his power is what stood out.
Last season he struggled making contact but has markedly improved in that area this season.
Fingers crossed.

Nice run down. Yea we gotta figure out a way to combat lack of power and hitting. We aren’t gonna get big fish in their prime unless we develop one. That takes time, and it looks like pitching is the emphasis.
So instead of one hitter at thirty home runs, we go two, three, four hitters at 20 plus.

Oops typo. Never seen him play! LOL
I can live with 3/4 guys hitting 20 if they hit with RISP!
Do people really think we will add players/payroll this off season?
I think this offseason will be about trying to dump contracts such as Gray NA and Contreras while trading players such as Noot and Donovan for prospects. I don’t see a player like OHearn being added.

If we were to add, does it make more sense. Have 3-4 Hearn type players. Reference Batting average, defense and home runs. Not the huge number guys.

Ohearn with Burleson Contreras and Hererra is a bit redundant and adds to the problem. They need a RH guy that can play everyday OF. Not a 1B/DH/OF platoon player
Free agent. 17 Hr .281 superb fielder. Plays first and right field.
Has had four good years and this year had 133 hits. 2.1 war this year, 3.4 career. 8 years in league.
Makes 11.5 on 2 yeur deal.
Beats 400 million.
Too old (32/33 in 2026) BDog, doesn't fit what Bloom is going to do w/the roster.
But that's the type of player (only about 6-7 yrs younger) that you hope Bloom can either sign or trade for but the salary would have be offset for BDWJr to approve in 2026.
