T Boone Pickens would probably like to get Drinkwitz at Okla St.

Got an opinion about the Tigers? Let's hear it.

Rank of SEC Coach, Name, School, Compensation (national rank is in parentheses).

1. Kirby Smart, Georgia: $13.28 million (1st)
2. Steve Sarkisian, Texas: $10.6 million (3rd)
3. Kalen DeBoer, Alabama: $10 million (7th)
4. Brian Kelly, LSU: $9.98 million (8th)
5. Mark Stoops, Kentucky: $9.01 million (9th)
6. Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss: $9 million (T-10th)
6. Eliah Drinkwitz, Missouri: $9 million (T-10th)
6. Josh Heupel, Tennessee: $9 million (T-10th)
9. Brent Venables, Oklahoma: $8.15 million (15th)
10. Billy Napier, Florida: $7.37 million (21st)
11. Mike Elko, Texas A&M: $7 million (T-23rd)
12. Hugh Freeze, Auburn: $6.73 million (25th)
13. Sam Pittman, Arkansas: $6.5 million (32nd)
14. Shane Beamer, South Carolina: $6.4 million (33rd)
15. Jeff Lebby, Mississippi State: $4.25 million (T-49th)
16. Clark Lea, Vanderbilt: $3.19 million (59th)

Drinkwitz almost makes as much as the true freshmen QB for Michigan (Underwood). ;-)
Drink is 26-5 over the past 3 years, so assuming we finish strong this year and maybe get another 10 win season he’s holding up his end of the bargain. I also think, since he’s paid near the top of the SEC and we’re dumping a fortune into the football program the expectations should be that high. We should expect playoff appearances and contending for SEC titles.

Because in building up the football program, we’re neglecting other extremely popular SEC sports (like baseball). We literally can’t afford to be even mediocre in baseball because there’s no investment (terrible coaching, limited funds for the stadium, etc).

Where it stands now, Drink would be a fool to walk out on Mizzou for any job in the country IMHO. We’ve given him the keys to the kingdom.
