Same issue with affect and effect. Your and you’re. By, buy, Bi. Too two and to.
Sports chat rooms aren't really a good place to be if you are bothered by poor spelling , grammar, puncuation, and misuse of the English language.
As you mentioned- bothered. Not me. I attempt to be fairly well versed. Now my presentation can be better.
I didn't mean you specifically Dog. I mean the Grammar Nazis.
I’m good. Didn’t think anything. I do know I can do better. Laziness.
Same here. It's not that important. Have a good day.
You too.

Actually it’s pathetic logic to tank. As if moving up or down a few spots will make that much difference.

No professional athletes lose on purpose. Organizations might to some degree, but not the players.

Not much difference in terms of odds to get into the top 6 lottery. Not sure how much difference there would be between 8th and 12th but I'm adverse to the idea of intentionally losing. Cubs are probably resting their best pitchers and position players. A sweep gets us to .500. I say go for the win.

Oh cool, a reason to be mad at Oli if they sweep at Wrigley and he somehow achieves a .500 record with this team.

Yay!

The difference in drafting in the Top Ten vs the Second Ten is huge

7th - Wetherholt

19th - Gorman
21st - Walker

Top Ten Picks usually hit at a very high rate
Picks below 10 only hit about 1/3 rate as Top 10

So yes, it matters a lot.

I prefer to witness a resounding sweep of the cubbies at Wiggley this weekend. A veritable small bear beatdown, which could knock them behind the Padres in the standings, making them travel to San Diego for their opening playoff games.

Draft pick position is important, but I will NEVER wish to see the Cardinals lose without their best effort vs the cubs.

The 2026 draft class is very deep, which is usually the case after a terrible class like we saw this year. So missing out on a lottery pick this year wouldn't be a bad thing. If we miss out on a lottery pick this year we will retain eligibility next year. I think we will be a bottom 5 team next year and I would hate having to pick outside of the top 10 after one of our all time worst season.

Just start Pallante as an "opener" for two innings in each game and that guarantees three loses!

Wind blowing out to right, perfect for Miles

Jordan Walker in RF with wind and sun ought to be fun.
