This team is slow. In the legs and in the head.

Being slow and getting caught stealing are not necessarily the same thing. Folks remember Walker is faster than both Winn and Noot yet..... It is sad a player like Winn cant learn how to take leads and read the pitchers moves to get a decent jump stealing bases. Why has this not changed? If you have speed but can't use it in the game, doesnt that make you kind of not good at base ball or not good at the fundamentals.

When fundamentals don’t coincide with what the IPad tells you to do your team typically doesn’t execute them well.

Having a coaching staff that doesn’t know how to coach is the problem here. It’s been the problem all this year and it appears as though it will be the problem all next year.

But fundamentals are a major weakness now. And it bit them again tonight with Nootbaar's bonehead base running in the 10th. Herrera likely cost them a game recently with 2 base running gaffes in 1 extra inning.

They could select a fan out of the stands every game that would be a better 3B Coach than Pop!
Now what do we do about road games??

This team lacks in fundamentals. Find someone who can instill them. The script following pud isn't the answer.

Exactly.

All this (bleep) about "you can't blame Marmol for the roster..." But if the coaches don't have some responsibility for players being fundamentally unprepared, then what exactly do coaches do for for a living?

And that's far from the only area where this team is fundamentally weak.

In this organization? Follow Mo's orders, dont question Mo, and make every move the pre-made script says.
