Been saying that for awile now, I think it's pretty obvious to everyone now, except for the Cards.

He smacks a double into the LCF gap first AB today - when he hits the ball in that direction he is much more successful.

Let snot look at one at bat. He has a larger career sample that makes me want to puke.

If you simply replaced Walker, Gorman, and Fedde with league-average players, this team is probably sitting in a WC spot. lol

Not to mention, how many additional opportunities would arise from them not killing rallies or forcing pitching replacements.

Easily the 3 worst Cardinals I've ever seen get so much playing time.

Kip Wells is the only pitcher I can think of that comes close. As far as Walker, nope, NEVER seen such a pathetic player get so much playing time. He makes Juan Encarnacion look like an All-Star.

Gorman's been given extensive rope since Arenado went down and we all know what he's done with it.

And it may be time to move on from Randy Flores as well. We'll see what Bloom does.

Maybe some team out there might be interested in Gorman. Pittsburg, Colorado, teams that are years away from contending could stick him at 3rd or DH and let him play every day for a couple of years to see if he figures it out. He's had his chance here and has done nothing with it so best of luck to him somewhere else.

Walker must start 2026 in Memphis and hit his way back to StL. And by hit his way back I mean 800+ OPS for an extended period. Maybe that works maybe not but I've seen enough of him here for a while.

His defense at 3B has gotten better; it's not as easy as people are making it out to get switched to 2B at the major league level for a few years and then all of a sudden get sent back to 3B. He strikes out a lot, but he's still a positive WAR player. I still think at 25 he can develop into an above-average and maybe even good hitter. At this point I think there's a better chance of that happening than of Nootbaar suddenly becoming good at 29. I'm not going to cry if they trade him this offseason, but between catcher, all three outfield positions, and the starting pitching staff, there are much bigger problems to worry about than 0.4 WAR Nolan Gorman.

Good points.
There will be a market for Gorman due to his power and remaining years of control.
So....the issue will of course be the return.
And the Cards have numerous others with team control who could/should attract trade interest.

I've never seen a 3B slower coming in on a ball.

He let a pop-up drop that Pages had trouble finding in Milwaukee and was called out for it on national broadcast.

He strikes out way too much, runs the bases like an elephant.

Not a winning player at all.

He would be a luxury cheap LH DH platoon for power for a team with Rf short portch. Thats his niche. Nothing more

Cards should try to trade him in the off season. I cannot see how he would fit next season. Depending if Nado is traded, Wetherholt will be the 3B. Hopefully the Cards can get some value in a trade.

Just trade him. Hopefully he can reach his potential in another city.
