Easy, right?
Those are obvious. But it’s not the over arching issue. Building a team environment. That is so very hard to do- the daily attitudes and actions of 26 type A guys.

The performance level between STL and LA is minimal. Adding won’t win. It’s the mental structure of the org.

And. It’s all based on a particular leadership style. Some work. Some don’t.
And that's where the New Manager comes in BDog, he'll set the new tone.

And adding a MOTO power hitter and a FOTR starter would absolutely win!

Not until the environment changes. Yes adding will help, and if culture changes, it wins. But if not, you could be the 2004 team, and not win.

I’m with ya. New leader.

We are so close to franchise infamy - consecutive years with no WS. At 12 now. Record- 18.

Can we call this the 70’s or 90’s yet?

The question should be what's the magic number for clinching fourth in the Central?

If Cards had stayed healthy and basically stopped playing Walker like, umm, ever, they're probably tied for the final WC.

Of course, every team has injuries, so can't really complain about that. Cards are the only ones stuck with a Walker/Gorman though. lol

Those are probably the 2 most depressing Cardinals I've ever seen, and we've had to watch them almost non-stop now for 3 years. Just brutal.

I said that in another thread:

We're in the time machine and have gone back to the 1970's.

Mediocre-Average team, terrible crowds and on ownership that stopped caring after ABJr died.

Rocko never tires of quoting himself

To make it there this year? The X-Files like abduction of several NL franchises.

Need Mets, SF, Reds, & D Backs to forfeit the rest of their games and Cards have a miracle and somehow win 5 games.
