He’s always been a meh average low on base low ops guy the stolen bases are down but the hitting isn’t surprising he is what he is. He’s also hurt a lot so that’s not surprising either
In his first 67 games with the Dodgers, he had 14 HR and 8 SB with just under an .800 OPS
In the 56 games since he got hurt, he has 4 HR and 1 SB with a .596 OPS

Hard to steal bases when you're playing on a bum ankle that needs an offseason to recover.

That’s pretty cool that Tommy has only played 123 games in his career, all with the dodgers…

What am I wrong about, specifically? You can't possibly dispute that his 2025 has been marred by injuries.

I'm saying it's ridiculous to celebrate Mozeliak as if he traded him in 2024 knowing he'd be hurt in 2025... and to bang on Edman in a year that he's been hurt.

Masyn Winn had a .559 OPS in August and has a .482 OPS in September. What a complete bum.

Last season he was marred by injuries also and what are you wanting me to do boo Mo for trading him because his season might not have been marred by injuries and he could have had a good year if he was healthy? lol that’s silly. I’m not a mo fan but I’m not going to complain he traded an injury prone utility player who the dodgers signed to a ridiculous contract?

Well if you’re thinking he was going to suddenly become a power hitter or good hitter then I think you’re wrong he had a hot streak so what a lot of hitters do that that people thought Gorman had figured it out too and was going to be something he hasn’t been and guess what? Just a hot streaks. But you can believe it if you want to and that’s cool I just disagree he has been a meh hitter meh on base 11-13 home run hitter and will continue to be. But if he hits 30 home runs like u say next season ill gladly say I was wrong

I’m certain I’m not, both in what he brings to the table athletically and culturally.

There’s a reason the most powerful spending team in American sports targeted him specifically for a while.

And he rewarded them by playing a vital role in a World Series championship.

Tommy is banged up, the wrist can’t stay the same, an unfortunate chronic issue.

You were quick to point out he had 14 home runs in his first 67 games with the dodgers and close to an .800 ops you obviously were thinking if it wasn’t for the injury he would have continued hitting like that which means he would have hit close to 30 home runs. If you didn’t believe that and thought it was just a hot streak like I do you wouldn’t have bothered to point it out. But I know you’re a have to have the last word type of guy so I’ll let you respond and have the last word and just know I disagree he was suddenly going to become a hitter he isn’t

I'm saying that he was hitting well, got hurt, and has a sub-.600 OPS since his injury. What I ACTUALLY think is that his performance has been severely impacted by injuries this year.

Yes, injuries have probably negatively impacted edmans season. However, he has hit poorly when healthy quite a bit as well, so the blame can’t be solely on injuries. It might just be that over a full season, Edman is an average to slightly below average hitter who can get red hot at times. And last season he got red hot at the best time. I like Tommy. I did expect him to be a better hitter 4-5 years ago. He’s a nice piece on a winning team who has shown he can carry a team over short stretches but is usually a glove first player. Nothing wrong with that, unless the rest of the team isn’t very good
