His presence will make everyone on the roster play & feel like they are 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier.

Fighting doesn’t really impact the game one or the other (at least in my opinion) and we already have 4th liners who can play physical and forecheck. I just don’t see it.
Someone like Walker can hit and forecheck but at the end of the day, he’s 5’8”. Lucic simply provides a different element. Personally, I doubt he has enough left in the tank to be effective and my guess is he gets cut. But I’m also open to the possibility he might just have enough to make the case that he’d be a better spare forward than one of Texier or Joseph. Not exactly likely but I could see it happening.
I love Walker, similar to SunnyD. Both shouldn't be playing everyday tho. Those guys should be getting 50-60 in a fully healthy season.
I agree. You get a 4th line rotation with whoever you need on a given night. Then you've got options in the playoffs, which is where Lucic could really be handy to have around. I bet he'd be a good guy to have in practice as well.

OMG if Lucic can be a player for the Blues and would actually suit up in a playoff series.... adding that menace to what the Blues did to the Jets lol thats ridiculous. Still, whos spot does Lucic take? One of Joseph or Texier, and IF we are talking about a youngster creeping onto the roster then both of Joseph and Texier are gone in some fashion. The Blues may be okay with this scenario because the Blues have Stenberg, Kaskimaki, Dvorsky, Peterson, guys the Blues feel like may be able to step in esp in the bottom six

Also to consider is that the roster at the end of the season rarely is the same as the beginning. I don't see anything wrong with letting those AHL guys develop together in Springfield and come up to fill in for injuries. Army has shown that he will move whoever he needs to, like waiving guys making $4M mid-season. Maybe he could stash Lucic in Springfield while he gets back into the groove? I thought Joseph did well and played a role in the playoffs to not be jettisoned so easily, but I could see Texier being cut if he doesn't show up. He seems to have the skill, but was scratched for so long last season without any real ailment being mentioned.

Like I've said before, I doubt he makes the team out of camp. But IF he still has enough to contribute at this level and is at least equal to the level of play of others who have been mentioned (Joseph, Texier), it would certainly be intriguing to have a big, "nasty" player like him on the Blues. Gonna be fun to watch it play out.

I just listened to the interview. I think he makes the team. The Blues just don't have any player that can bring what he does. I especially think for all the younger players and the guys that do already play physical that he will allow them to have more room out there. If he doesn't make the team then he was probably nowhere close to being able to keep up.
