I still don't like how Oli handles certain players and his undying loyalty to certain JAGs (cough cough BurlyPages)... but he's a fine tactician and his bullpen management is actually good.

It's the team's bullpen and defense that has this team as good as they are with a terrible offense and starting rotation. Those are directly related to a manager and coaching staff.

It WOULD be interesting to see how Marmol would do with a very competent starting pitching staff. With quality and depth.

There are people on CT that could manage such a team. His job would be easier so not a real testament to his managing abilities.

On the the other hand. Even a great manager would have some difficulty winning big with an incompetent starting pitching staff, overall.

Read an article on Bloom in St. Louis paper outlining how during the year Bloom has had contact with Marmol on an ongoing basis .
So Bloom should have a very good ideas whether Marmol is his manager moving forward . Have not read any indication one way or the other as to Bloom's evaluation of Marmol as manager.

Guess we will know about a month from now. Until then I am sure the media will do some speculation as well as fans too.

Whoever it is in 2026 should also be who they plan to have around for 2027+ (right?). So it's a big decision coming here.
