signed as a 3B, moved to Catcher

============

btw....another 2 RBI, 2 out Single......

3-5, 3 Singles, 4 RBI
So how does he look defensively so far? If he hits, they will find a place for him to play....

much better than advertised last off season...throwing out 30% of base stealers, stopping pitches in the ground....framing is the thing he needs to work on...but 2 years as a catcher, he's doing rather well

Well, we seem to be rich in catchers in the minors. Be an interesting off season.

there's a full season between Rainiel and Bernal...let him stay at Catcher for a while

Certainly, I was thinking of Crooks too. Bloom may trade someone for pitching.

it's going to be interesting with Crooks III and Bernal....Bernal is a switch hitter, but he's better from the LH side. Crooks III is a LHB...nitpicking: Bernal better framer, better arm...but Crooks is good at those, too...it's not a huge discrepancy.

Rainiel's bat is going to play more so than Bernal and Crooks...he's a RHB...so there's a compliment of RHB/LHB...whomever the F.O. chooses to couple with Rainiel....imo

My stick my neck out prediction: Rainiel is Top 50 prospect in all the majors publications come Nov-January....BA, MLB.com, Athletic, ESPN...BA will likely list him Top 30.

he's Top 100 right now.

that'll give us 3 in the Top 50 with JJ, Doyle, and Rainiel. I'm not sure if Bernal stays Top 100 in every publication, but he might.

it's a good "problem" to have.
can't wait to see Bloom's plan.

And after Peoria's season ends on Sunday, bring him up to Springfield. They have several games left plus a playoff of two or three games.
A la Albert in his one minor league season.
Only half kidding. Barely half.
