The apparent number of empty seats probably does not affect profits as much as it might appear to do. Owning a MLB team is a lucrative business, and the Cardinal organization has been very good to the owners.

Not just empty seats. It's empty parking spaces and empty beer cups and empty hot dog trays, Etc. Ballpark Village is no doubt taking a hit as well.

Last night was pitiful.

I was there and almost felt like I was watching a covid era game, lots of social distancing.

Hardly any of my customer's are calling for tickets, I'm going to cut down to two (from four) since Dewitt is making it clear this is the kind of team we're going to see for the next couple seasons.

They know some will attend regardless of what level of product is on the field. Guess they figure they can gouge the ones who do show. The DeWitts and Mozeliak really seem to have disdain for the fans.
