Berman was a treasure for a while, then got too full of himself, in part because ESPN got too full of itself but that's another story. People forget that before Keith Olbermann became a nasty, bitter man he was very funny as the host of SportCenter. He was the Chandler Bing of ESPN.

I remember him starting this in the late 80's.
I thought so anyway.
Of course, it all filtered into the 1990's.
I'll have to check when Berman started with ESPN.

I loved watching Chris.
I was kid in the 80s/90s too and I liked them. But I didn't follow SC or BBTN much into the later 90s or 2000s.
