It hasn't been funny, I have watched it mainly on YouTube and the episodes have not been great. I like some of the new cast members, but definitely feel like the writing has not been very strong. Weekend Update has really gone pretty bland, they probably need to change it up next year, it has been a LONG time with Jost & Che.

I must be one of the last that still likes the Jost/Che Weekend update team. They are right up my alley when it comes to snarky, often stupid, offensive, dumb humor. My favorite is when they show a picture and then do the "seen here" bit. Like the show a picture of Speaker Johnson with a goofy [shirt] eating grin "Mike Johnson seen here at a gay orgy" kind of jokes.

Otherwise the show has been meh most of the season. The usual array of some very boring, unoriginal skits combined with the occasional great idea/skit. I am already beyond bored with James Austin Johnson's Trump, even though he does a rock solid imitation. It's the same stupid (bleep) every week. Find something that happened in the news cycle and then cold open it.

I also have an old man screaming at the clouds view of the music this season. I barely know any of the acts.

I watched some skits from last Saturday, and I think Glen Powell did really good. There were a couple funny skits.

Yeah, the monologue with the UPS guy was funny. Couple of the skits hit well. The Marcelo Hernandez doing Sebastian Manascalco at the bachelor party was funny. The return of Magruber being all over the Epstein files was a hit. That's about it for me.

Now Bowen Yang is out. Last night was his final episode.
