Disgusting, isn’t it? A grown man inventing socks to agree with his posts. What an old puke.

Should be traded in offseason for pitching

Complimentary piece not a centerpiece core

Has one tool not 3 or 4

It’s official. He’s now started 1 burly thread for each ops point. I knew he could do it.

It’s easy when you have dozens of socks on standby.

He is a bargain at the price.
He is the one positive offensive player on this entire team, and you guys wanna trade him.
Insane.
Trading Burly feels like a case of having to give to get. If you can swap Burly for a major league starter with upside, I think they’d be crazy not to pull the trigger.
If you can trade Burly for a MLB starter with upside you will be named GM of the century.

Or you could get fired after Burleson hits like he's capable of for the next three or four years and the pitcher fades or is just so so.

What exactly is he capable of? And don't "Melville me" with garble - give me the stats you predict he'd have in such a year.
And where would he play? Please don't say outfield as he sucks donkeys there.
He has a 1.4b WAR this year - his best by far - and a lifetime 1.9 bWAR.

Currently ranks 7th in fWAR among position players on the roster, and 9th overall. On a below-.500 team.

Well cause his defense sucks. He should be DH, but noodle arm Ivan has that on lockdown.

Or the pitcher acquired does well and establishes himself as a fixture of the rotation while Burly goes off and does well playing everyday at 1B or DH for a team needing a LH bat. A good old fashioned baseball trade that helps both teams.

Nice quote for critics to consider, "Alec Burleson has transformed his approach to become a top-30 hitter in the National League based on his WRC+, which checks in at 120, meaning his offense is 20% better than average".

When you're 20% above average as a hitter, but 60% below average as a defender and runner, you are not a very good baseball player.

I noticed you chickened out on answering my previous question. If you firmly believe he'll improve a lot, predict Burleson's stats in the future.

You are misguided, IMO. You don't value Burleson. I do. And so does the Cardinals organization. So be it.
