No telling the breakdown in fault... but it's insane to sit the guy 3 out of 4 games when you have two of the OFs on the IL.
Either insane or just extremely telling about how much Oli thinks of him.
 
I think since its so late in the year they dont want to burn his final option year now so that they can still consider sending him to memphis next year.
 
I have no doubt that's why they're not sending him down, but it doesn't explain why they're basically benching him.
Benching him suggests one of two things 1) Oli is still prioritizing winning over development, or 2) Oli is so pessimistic about Walker that he doesn't even believe he can benefit from more major league PAs this season.

Walker's runway season is a do-over in 2028.  Hopefully Bloom moves the log jam.  Or gets something valuable for Walker.
 
If Bloom doesn't start Walker in AAA next year he's not as smart as we need him to be.
