Reports are that last offseason the team talked to Scott about going to bunting school .. He returned to spring training and didn't look any different in practice in bunting attempts . So assuming Church is really up, let's see what he can do with his first MLB opportunity.
One thing the Cards need more of imo is base stealing with the new rules, that aren't really that new anymore. Some teams, like the Brewers, Reds and Cubs have figured out there is now a bigger advantage with the SB.
A potential future OF including Church-VS2- Baez could provide some SB skill as another weapon to have available.

Tom Ackerman asked him about JJ and Mo described him as an outstanding prospect. It's my understanding though that after a certain date this year (maybe 9/1) his promotion wouldn't count toward a service year. Then actually said something along the lines he might be one that is tempted to bring him up but gave the impression maybe that's not his call.
