Been a strange weather year. We got about two and a half inches last night, played havoc with the State Fair in Sedalia. We have had more rain later in the year than any year in my memory. Seeing that tarp means I may not get to hit the hay as early as I want to. Ready for the game to start.82birds wrote: ↑12 Aug 2025 18:15 pmtarp getting rolled out nowblackinkbiz wrote: ↑12 Aug 2025 16:33 pm More weather tonight. But it is spotty so who knows, maybe it'll miss the rain magnet that is Busch Stadium.

Mets trying to blow a 5-1 lead. Braves have bases loaded in the 4th with 1 out and down 5-3 now.

Wow, Braves tie the game 5-5. 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs after a double by Matt Olson.

Re: GDT : Cards vs. Rockies (8/12) ~ 6:45pm CDT
I got to see Vince last Saturday, along with Brian Jordan, Jason Motte, Jason Isringhousen, Scott Spiezio, and some other former MLB players.
They were playing in a Celebrity game in Huntingburg Indiana , at the old stadium where “ A League of their own “ was filmed.
Vince talked to the fans, and still loves having been a Cardinal. Motte threw the ball pretty well, he pitched one inning.
Brian Jordan was great. He signed a card for my grandson, and a ball for my granddaughter. He talked to them for about 5 or 6 minutes. My Son told him we could use him in our outfield now, and he laughed and said no way! He even told my son he could come and play 1st base for him in the game, where he did start. BJ did hit the ball pretty hard, but neither him, nor Vince can run anymore, but really great guys!
