The Cards need to win this series after going 4-2 against the Dodgers and Cubs! I also don't get why Walker is sitting!

Agreed. Too often the Cardinals take a series against a playoff team and then lose one to a cellar dweller. Need to win the series or sweep here to keep wildcard hopes alive - the Mets are eventually going to win some games, have to gain ground while possible.stlbirdlover wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 15:44 pm The Cards need to win this series after going 4-2 against the Dodgers and Cubs! He can't bear to have his hero Lars sitting out. Oli is going for the dumbest man in the room award.JohnnyMO wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 15:47 pmAgreed. And, yeah, Walker sitting is frustrating. Would love to know the logic
He can't bear to sit Burleson. He's real man-crush.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 15:55 pmHe can't bear to have his hero Lars sitting out. He'll never learn. Cools off the hot hitter and rewards a bum like Nootbaar. Walker had 1 of 4 hits last night, stole a base and scored the winning run. Reward: benched. What is he not getting about runway for Gorman and Walker? And they are both finally starting to hit.rockondlouie wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 14:23 pm THx duce

This what I do not understand about Oli's managing. Why sit your hottest hitter ?rockondlouie wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 14:23 pm THx duce

If that's the case, then Oli, Mo, and every other FO employee is saying bold-faced lies over and over and over, because they have repeatedly stated that Mo and Co create the roster but Oli decides the day-to-day lineup.
VS2 doesn’t hit and he plays every game. He rarely tries to bunts, although he’s not very good at that either.rockondlouie wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 14:27 pmVSII as well (last 100 PA: .158 .245 .232 .477)Absolut wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 14:25 pmGotta get nootbaar his at bats.rockondlouie wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 14:23 pm THx duce

We certainly aren't going to miss Oli's idiotic lineups.
