Lots of safe/out calls made in error have been reversed by replay. Are you opposed to that as well? At least a limited amount of instant ABS to correct the worst calls would be fine by me.sdaltons wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 18:47 pmHuman error is part of the game and has been forever. There are way too many bad calls.makesnosense wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 16:43 pmActually pretty (drat) good. Don't know what you expect? I hope you don't rely on the box on TV. You think that a good hitter hits 300 against today's pitching, But you think missing 10 pitches on balls and strikes in a 220 pitched game is bad? Hilarious.icon wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 15:30 pmSo in other words, she's just as bad as the average male MLB ump in calling balls and strikes. On track for 10 missed calls in a game is not good, is it?ramfandan wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 14:26 pm Braves announcers were waiting to see a called 3rd SO punch out move. Didn’t happen til 5th inning. Unfortunately, the pitch was well outside the lefty batter. Too bad it was first major league punch out call and it wasn’t a strike. Kinda funny too that her very first pitch call of game was inside to righty batter ..she called it strike ! Batter just smiled.
Overall, she has been good on her ball/strike calls.
Maybe 5 pitches missed in 4 1/2 innings . 3 of the 4 were to thr third base side about 3 circles wide if box. One was inside to righty bat.. 2 outside to lefty bats.
One just above the box.
Oops.. in a 3-1 pitch it was strike 2 and she callled it ball 4 walk.
All umpires miss some..would say her misses were consistent. That’s good for an ump. Don’t want an ump where same location gets called both ways frequently.
No hit batters situation and no bang sliding plays at homeplate yet either.
Marlins manager on TV chirping at her on a low outside ball 4 to Ozuna on 3-2 count. Lip read ‘Jen, where was that one ?
Replay showed she called it correctly.
Bring on ABS or at least 5 instant challenges per game for each team.

I don't necessarily love those, either. But I accept that it's where we are and I can support your suggestion for ABS.icon wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 18:54 pmLots of safe/out calls made in error have been reversed by replay.
