Keep in mind that Blaze is 10 minutes from home as well. That can be distracting until you find a balance.

Great, overlooked point. A lot of people just assume that players must love signing with and playing for your hometown team. I get that. And maybe some players do. But it can be really hard too. Like you say, lots of distractions. Didn't David Freese mention the pressures of being that hometown guy?
