Re: So is Walker really a AAAA player?

Walker needs to go to a team who will develop him...if he stays with the Cardinals he'll be out of baseball in two years...

He's still young so there's a chance but I agree with whoever said he looks confused. Having been an athlete the majority of my life, I've worn and witnessed "the look" a player wears when they've figured it out and have confidence.

His minor league results say you might be mistaken!dugoutrex wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025 08:51 amnobody (bleep) him up - he just isn't that goodblackinkbiz wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025 23:17 pm He's toast as far as I'm concerned. You're making too much of hot and cold spells. You can take any player on the team and find similar streaks. It probably means nothing.WaltsSuccessor wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025 07:36 amRight. Before going 1 for 11 so far in August, he was hitting over 300 with a 800+ OPS after coming off the DL. Looked like he was figuring things out then he started sitting more.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025 07:04 am In all fairness, he was hitting almost .290 since the All-Star break, and looking a lot better, but then Nootbaar came off the IL and now Walker is sitting every other day. That doesn’t help give a kid much confidence! If the Cardinalsvare going to keep messing with him, he’d be better off somewhere else. Then, when he takes off, everyone will be screaming!
I'm more interested in seeing what his July through September numbers look like for a better picture going forward to 2026.
That's what's amazing. Some act as if he successful at AAA. He hasn't been.cardstatman wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025 23:01 pmMaybe even 2.dugoutrex wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025 22:57 pmone too many A's there buddyJobu's Rum wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025 22:28 pm His at bats just look careless and sloppy, and always has that dumb confused look on his face.

.257 .331 .414 .745 Walker in 529 AAA plate appearances which is below average for a AAA hitter. And of course he's well below average defensively.
His swing has nothing to do with him *still, in August 2025* struggling to lay off a slider two feet off the plate.
Depends on what they did to him. I'm pretty sure he was seeing sliders as a rookie when he was hitting good.
Hence why I said let's see where he's at overall for the second half of the season. Agree that larger sample size means more.Red Bird Classic wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025 12:43 pmYou're making too much of hot and cold spells. You can take any player on the team and find similar streaks. And as I said on another thread: If having Noot as competition is too tough for you, you probably don't belong in big-league baseball.

I corrected your title. Use AN before A. That is very elementary school.. It makes your thread look careless and sloppy.Jobu's Rum wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025 22:28 pm His at bats just look careless and sloppy, and always has that dumb confused look on his face.
