I've shared season tickets in Section 148 for 17 years...this team has no stars...they always had a player or players fans would stay to watch even if it was a bad game. Not anymore...Mo-ran has failed in his job...and my Section is not very full anymore

Can't fade in Aug/Sept like he did last season:
3 HR
15 RBI
.243 .313 .326 .639

Poor conditioning, let's hope he's in better shape this season and doesn't limp into the offseason again.

If he does, then he's gone this winter.

That works but they certainly shouldn't be listed among the "younger" players.

It was probably better for him to be moved to 1B but not for the team.
The team needs WC or IH to succeed as a C. Otherwise those "good for a catcher"
numbers are being spread throughout the field while backup catchers
are getting far too much playing time and it's not like those backups are crushing
it defensively. To steal from Rock, they are JAGs without upside.

To the point of the thread. Burleson is having his best season. IMO he needs to continue to increase
his SLG, this .460 is minimal for his profile as a player. A number 5 or 6 hitter.

The team is better, IMO, with Burleson and Herrera at 1B and WC behind the plate.

Maybe true. Not sure predicting injury and broken arms is a great approach.

IF he's a C the "runway" players get more opportunities. Burleson gets the majority of
1B. Ivan turns into a 50 game catcher if WC stays heathy, more if your prediction comes
true. Maybe a prospect C gets roster time vs 1 of Pages Pozo if WC goes down.

Your point is very valid, Your POV is always valid with reason.
The team has given a mixed message in giving opportunities to players, winning,
which can coexist just don't know how well it plays out when Pages/Pozo and Burleson taking
playing time in the OF by design does that. The OD roster suggest
the plan was always mixed when 3 C's, 3-DH's, and 3 1B, 1 SS was on it.

No worries my man, just less than a ideal season and .500 +/- was expected

He’s on pace for (2024):

144 games (152 games)
54 runs (71 runs)
70 RBI (78 RBI)
21 HR (21 HR)

So the pace says “He won’t”.

Have you seen any improvement in Burleson this season?

Overall as a hitter, yes. Is he the star that is worth constant posts about though that you make on a daily if not hourly basis? No.

Honestly no one. Donovans the closest. Maybe we could see more from herrera as a hitter but sample size is too small and hes cooling off.

Burleson has cemented himself as a starting position player but is still massively overrated by you.

He has however cemented that he should be considered a regular next season

Burleson hasn't reached his potential as an MLB hitter as yet. Especially, power-wise.
