Are the remaining players bummed about throwing in the towel?
It sure would take the wind out of my sails.
The mood won't change one bit.
That will happen when Super Slo Mo and The Marmot leave.

Not one of their offensive players were traded, so they should be able to resume their relentless attack on MLB pitching......

lol +1 lord knows if they traded some one from the offense they might get shut out. Can’t break up such a dynamic offense

Arenado said he was 'bummed' as he lost his best friend and golfing buddy now . You wanna tick off players in the clubhouse just break up their golf foursome . Then they will be really ticked ! FORE !!!!!!
I could not believe it when I read that from Arenada. Talk about tone deaf. I can't hide how much I loathe this idiot. He needs to be traded at great cost to BDW Jr. or just DFA'd.
Why is being disappointed a teammate he is close to being traded “tone deaf”? Seems like unreasonable criticism based on things not playing out how you wish they would.

The players are the ones who dictated that the white towel should be thrown. They were getting pummelled for the past month.
The bullpen was the only playoff worthy group. Now 37.5% of the bullpen gets to go to the playoffs.
Marmol successfully guided 12% of his team to the playoffs!
Helsey, Matz, and Maton have been good this year.
But don't assume a huge regression from the BP.
Could happen.
But maybe not.
O' Brien has been every bit as good.
So has Svanson.
Leahy has been better than expected.
Graceffo and Granillo should get more looks now.
Romero is still around and has improved as the season has developed - he is no stranger to late innings.
Let's see what happens.

LoL. Their play took the wind out of any sails. They knew it was just passing gas, not a wind

Little or no change
Players have been on many teams through their life..
High school….college…minors..mlb
They have seen many guys come and go….it’s just part of that life..
They see many guys come and go....while getting paid millions, or at least 100,000 a month, to play a game and travel in luxury, none of us can really comprehend it.

Bringing up golf isn't tone deaf? Maybe he should focus a bit more on baseball, which he sucks at right now and is stealing millions.

I think most players will be excited for the three pitchers that will get promoted to the MLB roster. They will get MLB meal money, paychecks and hotels. Guys leave. New guys arrive. Baseball is a continuous series of adjustments.

"First time in a couple years where it feels like we're coming to the ballpark ready to win a ballgame instead of coming to the ballpark hoping for something good to happen. It's a different vibe, for sure."
Nolan Arenado
Well, not any more is that likely.
That tone of hoping something good to happen rather than expecting to win, is why you actually do need a good manager that is capable of leading. Oli, just whatever is, is.

I agree. This team did not really get much worse.
Our old bullpen did a pretty good job protecting the 3-run deficits that our starters left for them. However, we still lost those games.
If our starters don't get better we will be awful with or without the selloff. If they do get better, we can still win some games after the selloff.

Maybe they come back to life now that the trade chatter is over. Young arms need to step up in the restructured bullpen. Will be interesting to see who gets some starts in the rotation. Nows the time to really evaluate things. More Herrera in LF. More Gorman at 3b once he returns. Bring up Crooks and let him catch. What is there to lose?

Ok let’s burn one and think a minute. We are in a two year reset.
2025 Year one- gone - Goldie Matz Helsley Maton.
Still need gone. Mik Nado.
Off season- add one big bat or one Ace. Lose Mik.
2026- play and assess.
Off season- add what you didn’t get last off season. Ace or bat.
2027- compete.

you have 2 veteran players who have never won a thing, and chose to play for a loser over winning a title, so it tells me gray and arenado are horrible club house leaders.
they want to do their job and collect the check, and thats fine, but dont give me any i want to win [nonsense].
